Ground beef, GF Italian Sausage,  sweet potatoes and kale, with an egg.
It has been awhile since I posted because something "weird" has been happening to me after over a year on the Paleo diet and I have been trying to figure out where I m going wrong.  Up until about two months ago I was feeling really good - mentally and physically - and now (long story short), I'm not.  I have very little energy, don't feel like cooking or eating, no bike riding even though the weather has been perfect for bike riding in our part of British Columbia and I was really enjoying the riding.  I continue to follow the Paleo diet for 99% of the time (small amount of maple syrup in my morning coffee) and have finally killed the sugar monster.

Day 26

I love coming home to Paleo surprises after a long day at work.  I guess technically they are not surprises as I ordered them but still it is nice when they actually arrive.

Yesterday the Lunchbots I had ordered a couple of weeks ago from the U.S.  There are some children's clothing stores in the Lower Mainland that carry them - not sure why just children's stores, I think they are great for adults who take there lunch to work everyday too.  After going through multiple glass food containers that chip and plastic containers that aren't good for you, the Lunchbots seemed like a good solution.  I got three different types;  the Lunchbot Uno, Lunchbot Duo and Lunchbot Trio.  I also got three dip/condiment containers.  All the containers are made of stainless steel.

Day 23

My goodness time flies when you are having fun - or the older you get the faster time goes - one of those.  Speaking of older, my older younger brother is 62 today - Happy Birthday, Bob!

Day 23 of the Whole30 and, while we are enjoying the good food, I am noticing a distinct drop in energy from how I felt in the first couple of weeks.  Research on the Whole30 says that this is not unusual for some people, that it can take someone whose immune system is compromised a lot longer to get the full effect from the program. Stomach aches for as far back as I can remember - which, as I get older is not that far back - lead me to believe that I may have a leaky gut.  Paleo Grandad says he is feeling good and has a lot more energy.
